Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, Rania Bellou is a multi-media artist, whose work questions the boundaries between reality and illusion. Bellou will include a selection of delicate new drawings from her Confession of a Stolen Kiss series, while concurrently the artist will be exhibiting five newly commissioned animations for Art Basel Miami Beach’s (ABMB) film program. The screening, Rites of Spring will take place on Saturday, December 6th at 8pm.

Daniele Genadry’sVedute (di Vasi, Monte Parioli, Kartaba) considers the construction of visual experience through memory, movement and migration. Multiple viewpoints and shifting frames address the distance necessary to merge a documented moment with the narrative of passing geographies.

Moroccan-British artist Hassan Hajjaj will feature a new body of work concerned with geography manifesting itself on the body through costume. These new colorful and engaging portraits combine the visual vocabulary of contemporary fashion, photography and pop art, while focusing on Morocco’s overlapping culture as a central element.

Nicky Nodjoumi’s nuanced figurative paintings engage in political, satirical discourse; layering personal heritage and first handed experiences in Iran and the U.S. into scenes that resonate beyond specific historical contexts or geographical boundaries.
